Hey,

How come nobody is posting to this website? It's a nice tool.

Well, the 20 meter band came alive last night and today in spite of the sunspot doldrums. I made 15 or so contacts on PSK 31 and some more on CW.

I haven't tried JT8 or those other digital modes. One of them only allows 15 second exchanges back and forth limited to a certain number of exchanges. Not conducive to a conversation. Technically cool but it seems to defeat some of the purposes of ham radio.

I do think the HF bands are more open than we think. But people need to get on the air to find out.

Some day the sun will get back to normal.

Think you may be correct about the bands being more open than thought for Rick.
